My Story

I'm a mom who has been there. I’ve read the books, tried a dozen different methods, and held on to every promise that said, "This will help you help your kids." But none of it ever felt like what I actually needed.I didn’t want to yell, threaten, or beg, but it felt like nothing else worked. Honestly, those things didn’t work either. I was overwhelmed, overstimulated, and carrying the mental load of the entire household. Then one day, everything shifted. My sweet nine-year-old was screaming at me. Not words, just full volume, top of the lungs rage and pain. And I was holding my newborn while it happened. This wasn’t the first time, or even the twentieth. These meltdowns had become part of our daily life. But something in me paused that day.I set the baby down, walked over to them, and hugged them. They shouted, “Why are you hugging me?” I said, “Because I love you.”And the screaming stopped.Later that day, we talked. Really talked. About all the things that hurt. That conversation showed me what we had been missing: collaboration. I had been assuming I knew what they needed and when they needed it. But they aren't me and I don't read minds. The screaming hasn’t come back.

What I Offer

The Grounded Parent Method is a practical, real-life approach to parenting built around five core pillars:Regulation – You can’t calm a child if you’re not calm yourself. This is where everything starts.Connection Before Correction – Discipline lands better when kids feel safe and seen first.Respect as a Baseline – Kids don’t have to earn respect. They deserve it as human beings.Curiosity Over Control – Instead of reacting, we ask why. We look beneath the behavior.Collaboration – You don’t have to carry it all. Your child can be part of the solution. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating a home where both you and your child feel grounded, connected, and capable—even on the hard days.

I don’t offer reward charts or judgment. I work with real parents, real kids, and real challenges—tantrums in the grocery store, yelling in the hallway, shutting down at bedtime.I’m not a licensed therapist. I’m a parent who has lived the overwhelm and built a method from experience, reflection, and research-backed tools that actually hold up in the chaos of everyday life. This work is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-inclusive, and deeply practical. You won’t find perfection here. You’ll find clarity, accountability, and a path forward—one that starts with you.

Who Is It For?

The Grounded Parent Method is for parents who are tired of yelling, shutting down, or second-guessing every decision. It’s for the ones doing the emotional heavy lifting and wondering if it’s always going to feel this hard.If you want a calmer home, a stronger connection with your child, and a way to parent that honors both of your nervous systems—this is for you.Whether you’re naturally gentle or easily triggered, burned out or just beginning to question the old way of doing things, this method meets you where you are and helps you move forward.
